2010 Arizona Charter School of the Year Limited Number of Spaces Available In Our “Six Years-in-Four Years” (SIF) Enrichment Program for the 2012-2013 School Year February 3, 2011 We are excited to inform you that we have a limited number of spaces available for the 2012-13 school year for our “Six years-in-Four Years” (SIF) Enrichment Program. Our SIF Program is available to high achieving students, fifth through eighth grade. Eligible students may have the opportunity to undertake the challenge of schooling through high school at an accelerated pace. Students must excel in all academic areas to be eligible. Although our regular accelerated program at SDCS already offers courses at one grade level higher, thereby, maximizing our students’ potential. SIF Program provides an additional academic and intellectual enrichment track. Currently, one focus of the SIF Program is mathematics. Students will progress at a more accelerated rate than our traditional curriculum. Students will have the opportunity to complete Algebra II in 8th grade. Science is another focus of the SIF program. Students in this program will have the opportunity to complete Chemistry during their 8th Grade year. This science program utilizes our new Science and Technology Center. The middle school program also incorporates our blended learning program with an elite college. This program gives our students the opportunity to learn Latin or Spanish. We offer a Mandarin after school club, too. Students have the opportunity to participate in and receive high school foreign language credit when they have reached that point.
